How this calculator works
Base hours = records × (entry minutes + cleanup fraction × cleanup minutes + checking fraction × checking minutes) ÷ 60 + fixed setup hours. Budgeted hours = base hours × (1 + contingency fraction). Budgeted labor cost = budgeted hours × total hourly cost.Worked example
2,500 records with 1.2 transfer minutes, 20% needing 4 cleanup minutes, and 10% needing 2 checking minutes take 91.67 record-work hours. Add 12 fixed hours for 103.67 base hours. A 15% contingency gives 119.22 hours; at 35 per hour, the labor budget is 4,172.58.Assumptions
Defaults illustrate the arithmetic, not market prices or expected performance. Use measured quantities and documented costs. All monetary inputs must use the same currency.Interpreting your results
This is a labor estimate, not an import or data-cleaning service. It excludes licenses, downtime, infrastructure and cash-flow effects. Sampling is a user-entered checking plan, not a guarantee of complete or correct records. Use separate models for materially different record types.Calculation formulas

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a different currency?
Yes. Choose your currency and enter every monetary amount in that currency. No exchange-rate conversion is performed.
Where should my assumptions come from?
Use your own matched operational records, invoices, agreements and measured task times. The worked example explains the calculation and is not a benchmark.
