How this calculator works

Open checks = applicable checks − capped verified checks. Completion percentage = verified checks ÷ positive applicable checks × 100. Initial fixes value = open checks × average fixes hours × hourly cost. Critical open checks are shown separately.

Worked example

Eighteen verified checks out of 24 gives 75% completion and six open checks. At one hour each and 75 per hour, initial fixes value is 450. Two critical gaps remain separately identified by count.

Assumptions

Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.

Interpreting your results

Do not enter secrets, tokens, credentials, environment files or private endpoints. This tool does not scan code or detect leaks and cannot certify security. Follow your organization’s incident process for a suspected exposure.

Frequently asked questions

What should I check before using the result?

Perform the review in your own approved systems. The calculator needs aggregate counts, not secret contents. Define checks and evidence with the responsible security or engineering owner.

Does this tool connect to my records?

No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
