Compare percentage-correct practice results across four MCAT study areas to find the largest gap to your own target.

How this calculator works
Largest gap = max(user target − lowest entered section accuracy, 0). Equal-section average = sum of four section accuracies ÷ 4. Spread = highest accuracy − lowest accuracy. The average weights sections equally, not by question count.Worked example
Practice accuracies of 70%, 62%, 76% and 80% average 72%. Against an 80% practice target, the largest gap is 18 percentage points in the 62% section. The spread is also 18 points.Assumptions
Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.Interpreting your results
This does not convert raw marks to MCAT scaled scores or percentiles. Practice accuracy depends on question difficulty and source. Actual exam scores require the official scoring process; no official conversion is inferred.Calculation formulas
- low
MIN(a,b,c,d)- mean
(a+b+c+d)/4- Largest section gap to your target
MAX(target-low,0)- Average practice score across sections
mean- Difference between highest and lowest section scores
MAX(a,b,c,d)-low
Frequently asked questions
What should I check before using the result?
Use fresh, timed sets of comparable difficulty. Repeated questions can inflate accuracy through memory. Keep provider, timing and question-count details next to each section result.
Does this tool connect to my records?
No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
