How this calculator works

Missing checks = applicable checks − capped completed checks. Completion percentage = completed ÷ positive applicable checks × 100. Revision hours = missing checks × minutes per check ÷ 60. Shortfall = max(revision hours − available hours, 0).

Worked example

Eight of 12 checks gives 66.67% completion and four missing checks. At 20 minutes per missing check, revisions take 1.33 hours. With two hours available there is no estimated time shortfall.

Assumptions

Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.

Interpreting your results

No brief text is inspected and no HBR affiliation, grading or logical correctness is implied. Use your actual assignment rubric. A completed checklist does not ensure a sound argument or original analysis.

Frequently asked questions

What should I check before using the result?

Examples can include a clearly stated decision, relevant evidence, alternatives and a supported recommendation, but the assigned rubric takes priority. Mark a check met only after locating the supporting passage.

Does this tool connect to my records?

No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
