How this calculator works
Manual cost = videos × manual hours × hourly cost. Assisted cost = videos × (assisted production hours + review/revision hours) × hourly cost + software fees. Difference = manual − assisted. Freed up hours = videos × difference in hours per video.Worked example
Twelve videos at four manual hours and 45 per hour cost 2,160. Assisted production of 1.5 hours plus one review hour per video costs 1,350; 100 software gives 1,450. Economic difference is 710 and 18 hours are freed up.Assumptions
Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.Interpreting your results
No video is uploaded or edited. This does not evaluate output quality, consent, copyright or vendor privacy. Freed up employee time may not reduce cash payroll. One-time training costs are outside this monthly comparison.Calculation formulas

Frequently asked questions
What should I check before using the result?
Timing should run through a deliverable that meets the same quality requirements. A quick first draft is not comparable with a final manual edit. Include captions, audio checks, corrections and client revisions.
Does this tool connect to my records?
No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
