How this calculator works
Confirmed-view percentage = capped viewed proposals ÷ positive proposals sent × 100. Win percentage = capped wins ÷ proposals sent × 100. Money left after variable costs = counted wins × money left after variable costs per win. Views and wins are separately capped because a confirmed view is not required to record a legitimate win.Worked example
Forty unique proposals with 28 confirmed views have a 70% view percentage. Eight wins give a 20% win percentage. At 1,500 money left after variable costs per win, counted money left after variable costs is 12,000.Assumptions
Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.Interpreting your results
This tracks no opens, visitors or document versions. Views are user-provided and may be incomplete. The model does not prove that engagement caused a sale. Compare versions only across genuinely comparable, mature group of records.Calculation formulas
- views
MIN(viewed,sent)- wins
MIN(won,sent)- Proposals viewed
SAFE_DIV(views,sent,0)*100- Proposals won
SAFE_DIV(wins,sent,0)*100- Earnings after variable costs from won proposals
wins*contribution
Frequently asked questions
What should I check before using the result?
One recipient can open a proposal many times. Count a proposal once when measuring confirmed-view percentage. Keep revised versions under the same opportunity unless your group of records definition explicitly treats them separately.
Does this tool connect to my records?
No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
