How this calculator works
Each topic accuracy = capped correct count ÷ positive attempted count × 100. Combined accuracy = all capped correct answers ÷ all attempted questions × 100. Incorrect answers = attempted total − correct total. The combined average weights topics by question count.Worked example
Topic results of 26/40, 24/30 and 40/50 give 90 correct out of 120: 75% overall, with 30 incorrect answers. Topic A is 65%; topics B and C are each 80%.Assumptions
Defaults are illustrative. Replace them with your own measured quantities and documented assumptions. Use matching periods and a consistent currency wherever monetary amounts are entered.Interpreting your results
No adaptive algorithm, official NCLEX passing standard or clinical competence is evaluated. Choose your own topic labels and review actual questions. Accuracy alone cannot establish readiness or safe practice.Calculation formulas
- a
MIN(ca,na)- b
MIN(cb,nb)- c
MIN(cc,nc)- total
na+nb+nc- Overall practice answers correct
SAFE_DIV(a+b+c,total,0)*100- Total wrong answers
total-a-b-c- Topic A answers correct
SAFE_DIV(a,na,0)*100- Topic B answers correct
SAFE_DIV(b,nb,0)*100- Topic C answers correct
SAFE_DIV(c,nc,0)*100
Frequently asked questions
What should I check before using the result?
Assign each question to one topic so the same result is not counted twice. Use the same treatment of partial credit throughout; this simple correct-answer model is unsuitable when a provider’s score uses a different rubric.
Does this tool connect to my records?
No. This is a local calculation from the figures you enter. It does not scan accounts, import private records or verify legal, regulatory or exam requirements.
